6.3.1.2 Temperature stress

It is of two types namely hypothermia and hyperthermia. Hypothermia is the reduction in water temperature which causes the fish to become inactive and depressed. This may also lead to water mold infections. Hyperthermia is the increase in water temperature leading to oxygen depletion and opportunistic infections.
