6.3.1.8 Improper hardness
Hardness is a measure of the divalent metal cation (e.g., Ca, Fe, Zn, Mg) concentration in water. Hardness requirements vary greatly among species. Too low hardness of the water can be corrected by addition of calcium. Too high hardness can be corrected by filtering the water through peat. |
