Stages of the Assessment Process

There are several sequential stages of the assessment process for young children. Each stage serves a unique purpose and requires specific procedures.


    1. Stage I – Child find/case finding
    2. Stage II-Developmental Screening
    3. Stage III- Diagnosis
    4. Stage IV- Individualized Planning of Programmes & Interventions
    5. Stage V- Performance Monitoring
    6. Stage VI- Programme Evaluation
