An important purpose of assessment is to evaluate the intervention programme itself. Programme evaluation is an objective, systematic procedure for determining the progress of children and the effectiveness of total intervention programme (Bricker,1996).
Good programme evaluation should be multi dimensional, taking into account both child centered goals and family objectives.
