Back Yoke With Inverted Box Pleat

- Trace lower pattern from yoke line (A-B). Mark pivotal point. Remove pattern.
- Draw a line connecting A to B as shown. The dart excess can remain in the armhole for a casual fit or to be removed from the lower section.
- Draw line to pivotal point and trim (shaded area). The yoke line of lower section will slope downward.
- Mark gathers control notches at waist and blend here.
Back Pleat
- For a 1 ½ inch pleat, draw a 3 inch parallel line with the centre back (lined area – inverted box pleat).
- Back may be cut on fold or with centre back seam.
