Yoke gathers

1. Trace lower back section, extending centre back 3 or more inches for gathers. The excess from the waist dart (broken line) is absorbed into gathers.
2. Mark notches for gathers and centre back as shown

Note: for yokes that are stylized, (pointed, or curved), draw slash lines and spread lower section for gathers.
