Ponds

• The park was established in 1874 by J.D. Sim
• It spreads over an area of 15 hectares at an altitude of about 1,740 meters above the sea level in the Nilgiri.

Islands

• Important features of the garden are the terraces with winding paths, lawns, beds of annuals, rockeries, a pond with two islands, arches, and pergolas with creepers
• The park has a good collection of roses, shrubs creepers, trees of ornamental as well as economic value
