Designs made by finishing

Designs made by finishing: Finishing is the term applied for the processeswhich are used on the gray fabric to change the appearance (what you see), the hand (what you feel), and the performance (what the fabric does). All fabric finishing adds to the cost of the fabric. Some finishes are used specifically for surface enhancement of the fabric. Such as embossing, moiré calendaring, flocking and chemical finishes (parchmentizing, burnt out etc). Examples of designs made by finishing techniques are illustrated in Fig 2.15 and 2.16.
