3.2.7. The pase makers of heart

In addition to the cells that look and act like typical muscle cells, the heart contain cells that have very few myofibrils. These cells constitute the pase making areas, which are primarily responsible for the rhythmic nature of the contraction and for conducting the activating signal through the heart.
