3.2.18. Specialized muscles

• In sharks, the myomeres near the base of the pectoral fin extend on to fin sufficiently to more the fin in an anterior – posterior place and to change the angle of attack.
• Increased innervations of the region around the base of the fin, increased number of nerve endings in the cerebellum to co-ordinate the increased activity.
