Characteristics of Perception

• Perception methods : Perception moves with attention
• Perception is a grouping and combining response: We put several stimuli coming from different parts of a subject all together and understand if as totality.
• Figure has advantage over background in perception:
• Perception is and isolating response: Only things attended to the perceived not the other things present in the situation.
• Perception follows the law of reduced over: It means as we become more and more acquainted with an object, the signs by which we can perceive will become lesser and lesser. A fraction of orginal sign is enough for us to recognize that object.
