1. Intelligence is the ability of adjusting to new situation :

  1. Accounts to wells : Intelligence is the prosperity of recombining old behaviour pattern so as to act letter in a novel situation.
  2. William stern: Intelligence is the ability to adjust one self to a new situation.

Defects in the above definitions

  • Fail to clarify the fall scope of intelligence
  • Intelligence and adjustability are not the same.
  • Intelligence is innase but adjustability is mostly learnt
