Factors of Conditioning

Factors of Conditioning

  1. Effect of motives : For conditioning, a stimulus must have a capacity to produce a response. In Parlosi expt, the hungry dog associated the bell to the food and not food to the bell.
  2. Time relations of the stimuli : In conditioning, it is important that the new stimulus (conditioned stimulus) before the response ends.
  3. Repetition of stimulus:
  4. Absence of distracting stimuli : Conditioning becomes difficult, if some other sitmulies is present with the sub stimuli. The lesser the distracting external stimuli, quicker is the learning conditioned response.
