Principal Methods of Learning

1. Imitation : One of the most important forms of learning. Human child learns mostly through imitation.

• Children commonly imitate the behaviour, habits, manners and ways of adults.
• In Imitation, the learner exactly copies the behaviour of another person with out understanding or thinking

Characters of Imitation

• Imitation performs the activity only after seeing if in another – lacking of creativity.
• Exact copying of the activity performed before the learner.
• Among living beings, man is the best imitator.
• Education becomes easier and more perfect by demonstation. In the teaching of dance, skills etc Demonstration is very important since imitation has an important role in them.
