Determinants of perception

Various factors that determine one’s perception are

  1. The same organs
  2. Brain function : Certain relations much as bigger and smaller, lighter and leacier, above and below etc.and all perceived because of function of the brain.
  3. Past experience: Perception depends an one’s past experience. Past experience may also influence perception in the form of various kinds of prejudices and assumptions regarding the object perceived.
  4. Set or attitude:
  5. Organic conditions: One’s organic condition will also influence his perception. One’s motive also determines one’s perception.
