Borders:
Most construction drawings should contain a border or margin around the edge of the sheet.
This is created using a very thick border line.
Helps in preventing drafts from drawing right to the edge and might get lost while duplicating.
Borders allow space for binding.
Borders enclosed by the edges of the trimmed sheet and the frame limiting the drawing space should be provided with all sizes. The border on the left edge should be bigger so that it can also be used as a filing margin. Allowable borders in metric measurements are shown in Table 1.
