Drafting tools are used for design in both architecture and design. A designer’s idea which is abstract has to be put on a surface and drawn with some tools to give a concrete shape so that the drawing can be presented to the client clearly and in a way which is easily understandable by them. To aid in this drafting equipment are very useful and needed. The use of tools makes the job easier, quicker, precise and accurate. The drafter uses several tools to draw lines, curves and circles. Primary among these are the T Square, parallel rule, triangles, compasses etc.
Awareness of basic equipment helps in the correct and accurate usage of these equipment and tools.
