United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA)

The United Nations Fund for Population Activities is supporting a research project to develop illustrative approaches to a population strategy giving more attention to reducing infant and child mortality through the documentation of population trends. It also jointly sponsored at end-1978 a meeting of 50 international journalists with a panel of demographers, biologists, economists, public health specialists and administrators of population programmes which looked at child health and infant mortality worldwide as an introduction of ryC efforts.
