Zipper

These are the most frequently used closures. They are available in various sizes, types and colors and can have plastic or metal teeth.

Categories of zippers are:

1. All-purpose metal zippers: Generally used for skirts/pants, dresses and home décor items. They are strong and durable.

2. All-purpose plastic zippers: Used for skirts/pants, dresses and made from polyester.

3. Jean Zippers: Used in denims and work clothes. They are strong and sturdy and made from brass.

4. Invisible zippers: Used in side seams of dresses, skirts where only the tab of the zipper shows and the zippers gets concealed in the seam itself.

5. Separating zippers: Used in jackets that can come apart completely.
