Hook and Loop tape

Commonly called Velcro, this type of closure is ideal on sportswear or on clothes that need to be unfastened quickly and easily. Velcro is basically made in nylon and has two parts – one covered with tiny hooks and the other covered with tiny loops. The hook part is attached to the overlay and the loop part to the underlay, in a placket. It is closed with touch and pressure and opened with a peeling action. It can be cut into any size as per the requirement, since it is available in metres (bundles). This type of fastener is generally used on clothing for children or disabled people, since it is easy to remove. Common applications are in shoes, watches, gloves etc.
