Although small in size, they are relatively strong and used in women’s clothing. It is an inconspicuous closure that is used at the top of the zipper plackets, blouses etc. Hooks come with either loops/round eye or straight eyes. Metal eyes are either straight or round. Straight eyes are used where garment edges overlap, such as on a waistband. Round eyes are used where two edges meet, such as at the neckline above a centered zipper. An eye can also be made with sewing thread. Hook is attached to the overlay and a thread eye or a metal eye is attached to the underlap of a placket.
