A lawn is maintained at a smooth low level by cutting the grass with a lawn mower. They are operated both manually or with power. Manual mowers are relatively cheap in price and require less maintenance and are suitable for smaller-sized lawn, whereas power-driven mower is useful for large lawns, play grounds, etc.
The size of a lawn mower is measured according to the length of its cutting cylinder which may be 60 cm, 50 cm, 40 cm or 30 cm. The mowers may be with or without roller. The height of the cutting surface may be adjusted by raising and lowering the cutting cylinder. The mower should be thoroughly cleaned after use by removing all debris. dust and grasses. The nuts and bolts should be treated with lubricating oil and surface greased after use whenever necessary
