Sowing and planting tools

Various types of tools are conveniently used for sowing and planting. Shakers, plungers and seed sowers facilitate uniform sowing at proper distance and depth. Apart from trowel and hand fork, bulb planter is also useful for pulling bulbs. The common sowing and planting tools are

1. Trowels and hand forks: Trowels are mostly used for making small holes for planting small plants and bulbs. They are also used for handling manures, fertilizers, seeds, etc



2. Dibbers This tool is used for making planting holes for transplanting seedlings or planting cutting. It is a pencil-shaped tool of different sizes. Hand fork is used for lifting small plants for planting or loosening the soil around the growing or established plants during weeding
