SELECTION OF BREEDERS 

• Induced breeding is generally taken up at the onset of monsoon, with the accumulation of fresh rain water, when the temperature goes down. The sex of the spawners are identified based on the distinguishing features. Ripe and mature males and females are to be selected for induced breeding (The method of induced breeding is described in Exercise 4 of the practicals)
