ZEBRA FISH

  • A glass tank of 60 x 15 x 30 cm size containing softwater is more suitable for breeding. Ceratophyllum sp is spread in the breeding tank to facilitate breeding. Berried male and female are stocked in the ratio of 1:1. Spawning occurs during morning. Each female lays about 200 adhesive eggs at a time. As spawners may feed on the eggs, the broodfish are removed immediately after spawning. Eggs hatch out in 36-48 hours. Fry are fed with infusorians or sieved zooplankton or naupuli or Artemia.
