Pleats are folds of fabric that provide fullness in some parts of a garment. According to style of the garment, pleats can be introduced singly or as a cluster around the garment. They can be pressed flat or left unpressed. Pressed pleats give a smooth, slimming line to a garment, whereas unpressed pleats provide a softer and fuller shape.
