Corded or piped tucks

This type of tucks adds rich, quilted effect to fabrics. Edges to each tuck are marked with basting. The cord is enclosed in the tuck as shown in the figure and stitched slowly, taking care not to pick up the cord while stitching. Corded tucks are mostly used for decorative purpose and are generally suitable on thick fabric.
