Pin tucks

These are used as decoration on very sheer fabrics. They are very narrow tucks having the width of a pin-head. The width of a single pin tuck may be not more than 0.5 cm. Pin tucks are suitable for blouses and other light weight dresses. Three to five pin tucks are generally grouped with a wider space in between them. Embroidery stitches or lace can be inserted between these groups of tucks for achieving decorative effects. These are stitched in different direction viz., vertical and horizontal.
