Shell tucks

This is decorative tuck used for finishing baby's dresses and blouses. They are generally made with hand. Shell tucks create a delicate edge finish for both lightweight knits and woven fabrics. Tuck is stitched using small running stitches and the shells are marked with dots. The length of the shell should be twice its width. Two over casting stitches are made across the tuck to hold the shell.
