Criss Crossed tucks

Cross tucks are made exactly in the same process as spaced/ wide tucks. The rows of tucks are stitched along the fabric in both vertical and horizontal directions. The horizontal pin tucks are first made by spacing them at the desired width. They are pressed flat in one direction and vertical tucks of the same width and spacing are then made. Light weight and firmly woven fabrics are more suitable for introducing crossed tucks and these are mainly used for decoration at yoke level or for blouses.
