2.3.1.2 Types of result demonstration
1. Short duration – Eg. Pond preparation for fish culture 2. Long duration – Eg. Induced breeding of carps 3. Single practice – Eg. Application of improved feeds in fish culture 4. More practices – Eg. Complete packages of practices in fish culture A successful demonstration can produce positive results for the extension workers by creating confidence in their ability. It is the technique an extension worker, who is new to an area, might want to use to establish himself in the community. The worker should consider the consequences if a new technique fails. So, he has to choose the demonstration carefully. Result demonstration requires careful and detailed planning to make it successful and to obtain full educational benefits. |
