2.5.1.12 Role Playing

It is the dramatization of a problem or a situation in the general area of human relations. The technique of role playing is based on our natural inclination to imagine ourselves in a particular situation. This method can bring out certain insights relating to human behaviour and relations and brings to surface mental reactions and feelings. Roles are usually assigned to various members of the group who act out the problem situation. In most of the cases, no script is used but considerable briefing and planning proceeds the role playing scene.
