2.2.3. Chromatography equipment

Conventional column chromatography has two main parts: a column, to pack the separation medium and a reservoir, to store the running buffer. Modern column chromatography apparatus has a pump, to control the flow during the separation; a fraction collector, to collect the separated components and a detector, to screen the column effluent, in addition to a column and a reservoir.
