2.6.6. Quantification

On-plate quantification is achieved by the use of radio chromatogram scanner for radio-labeled compounds or by the UV or visible absorption of compound in the densitometer. Off-plate quantification is carried out by scraping off the spot and eluting the compound with suitable solvent. The amount of compound in solution is then determined by spectrophotometry.
