5.2.3 Tool Bar

In Ms-Word, tool bars can be used as shortcut keys to the menu options. We can do many operations by just clicking the buttons in tool bars. There are different types of tool bars. Some important tool bars are:

1. Standard toolbar - used for saving, opening, printing, cut, copy, paste, show/hide special characters.
2. Formatting toolbar - used for formatting text such as font change, font size, bold, italics, underline, etc.
3. Border to olbar - used for placing border around the text
4. Drawing toolbar - used for drawing pictures
5. Database toolbar - used for accessing databases
