5.2.14 Changing Paragraph Settings

1. Select Paragraph option in Format menu
2. Specify the desired left margin, right margin, line spacing, indenting, Alignment (Left, Right, Centre, Justify) etc. Margins can be changed by using Ruler. If the ruler is not displayed, select Ruler option in View menu. Alignment can also be changed using tools in formatting tool bar.

Keystrokes for Formatting

Ctrl B - Bold the selected text

Ctrl U - Underline the selected text

Ctrl I - Italics the selected text

Ctrl 1 - change the line spacing the selected paragraph to single

Ctrl 2 - change the line spacing the selected paragraph to double

Ctrl 5 - change the line spacing the selected paragraph to 1 1/2

Ctrl L - change alignment to left

Ctrl R - change alignment to right

Ctrl J - change alignment to Justified

Ctrl E - Centre the text
