Small neckline

 

The circumference of the neckline is too small for the figure and this is causing it to pull up around the neck and form creases. The grain on the front width line is raised at the centre and the waistline may also be raised.

Clip the seam allowance around the neckline until the garment drops into the correct position. Mark the new neckline on the garment with tailor's chalk and cut down the neckline of the pattern to correspond.
