Waist shaping

The garment shown has creases pulling from the centre back seam at the waist, caused by the figure having a straight back and needing less shaping in that area. A figure with a hollow back would need this amount of shaping, or even more.

The centre back seam simply needs to be let out at the waist, curving smoothly into the original line. If the garment then becomes too loose at the waist, the side seams or panel seams may be taken in.
