A bodice in which the waistline is correctly positioned but which has slight diagonal folds beneath the underarm dart.
This can usually be corrected by curving the stitching of the dart, as shown in diagram 1. Taper the stitching carefully at the point of the dart. No adjustment is necessary on the back pattern as the side seam length is unaltered.
If this is not successful in removing the folds, the underarm dart must be widened.
