Small bust

The underarm dart of the garment shown is too wide for the figure, causing loose folds across the front between bust and waist.

Pin the excess length into a pleat across the front just below the bust. Measure the width of the pleat and draw it on the pattern, passing through the underarm dart (diagram 1). Fold out the pleat (diagram 2) thus making the dart narrower.

Since the side seam length is unchanged, there is no alteration to be made on the back pattern.
